Q: Tell me about yourself. Where are you from? How many kids do you have?

A: Natalie B - I am from and reside in Cleveland, Ohio with a little baby boy who is 15 months old 😊

Q: How was your pregnancy? The good? The bad?

A: Just a rough pregnancy all around. Nauseas for 9 months and lost my dog in month 1 and lost my mom at month 7 (Brain Tumor – Diagnosed to death was 1 month) so I overall was not in the best headspace. The worst time of my life.

Q: Tell me about yourself. Where are you from? How many kids do you have?

A: Hi my name is Natalie Chung. I am 28 years old. I’m from Alton, Illinois born and raised and currently live in Godfrey, Illinois. My husband and I have been together for 12 years and we have a 6 month old son Parker. I am a licensed Esthetician in St. Louis Missouri

Q: How was your pregnancy? The good? The bad?

A: Honestly my pregnancy was amazing I got very lucky! In the first trimester I was just very tired and mild headaches. The rest of the time I had extremely bad heartburn other than that it was amazing and went by pretty fast. In third trimester we had a scare on one of his ultrasounds that his femur was measuring less than 1% my doctor mentioned dwarfism (which he shouldn’t have without being completely sure) that worried us but it ended up being fine. Sometimes 3rd trimester scans can be really off.

Q: Tell me about yourself. Where are you from? How many kids do you have?

A: My name is Celine. I’m married, I’m 34 years old. I’m from Wisconsin but live in Virginia now. I have two boys, five and three years old.

Q: How was your pregnancy? The good? The bad?

A: Both pregnancy’s were normal for the most part with a few small bumps along the way, but nothing major. The good was that I went full term with both. With my first I was very careful about what I ate, any activity I did. I gained way too much weight and it wasn’t necessary. With the second I gained less weight and it helped me a lot after the delivery. With second he had a cist on his brain during a scan. This caused a lot of stress but on the next scan it had cleared. With the first pregnancy my husband came with me to every single appointment I had. With the second he wasn’t able to do that so he only was there for the delivery. For the first pregnancy I documented every step along the way in a calendar. I was way more aware of the changes my body was making. I will say with the second child you’re way calmer in general.

Q: Tell me about yourself. Where are you from? How many kids do you have?

A: My name is Madison - I am originally from Dekalb, IL (Go Huskies!) but have lived a little bit of everywhere: Orlando, Milwaukee, and currently San Diego, California. I have been married to my husband for almost 4 years and we have a spunky, fun, and strong willed three year old daughter named Vivienne. I recently graduated with my MBA and work for a resort wear designer managing all of our major accounts, it is truly my dream job as my undergraduate degree is in fashion merchandising. We love to spend time as a family exploring Southern California and all it has to offer!

Q: How was your pregnancy? The good? The bad?

A: My pregnancy was a surprise to both my husband and I, we have St Patrick's day in Chicago to thank for that (TMI?) But truly the best surprise we could have ever asked for. My pregnancy in pretty much every stage was so smooth and I am so beyond grateful for that. I did have a few food aversions early on, I had previously suffered from an eating disorder so gaining weight was really hard for me mentally and I think that was the hardest part overall. I am so grateful for the entire pregnancy though, because I know how many things could have gone wrong and we are just so fortunate that it went as well as it did. 

I feel like my birth stories deserve a little bit of a preface because I don’t want to be another one of those horror stories you hear or read while pregnant. I hope my story reassures others that science and the medical field is a crazy cool thing and has given me the opportunity to birth two amazing baby girls. I want to share my story because after my first I felt so alone, I didn’t have anyone that I could connect with. Fortunately, after some time & therapy, I have been able to step back and look at the beauty in my experience. If it wasn’t for an amazing medical team things could have gone very differently. My experiences were both very beautiful and natural in their own ways. My deliveries were what my body needed to deliver two healthy babies and for that, I will forever be grateful & proud.
