Just a heads up - to any family member reading this… do yourself a favor and please don’t lol y’all already know we had sex to have our baby butttt you don’t need to read the following! Ok thanks byeee!

To everyone else wondering what it’s like to have sex post baby - this is for you!

Waiting 6 weeks is V V important to make sure you’re fully healed down there and you’re cleared by your doctor!

First and foremost, make sure YOU are ready! It’s alotttt those first 6 weeks of figuring out your new life and navigating all emotions, sleep and your mental health.

Below are some tips to help make the first post birth sexy time, sexy:

1- make sure you’re ready, mentally and physically

2- set the mood: date night, dinner at home with your fav beverage, baby at grandparents or a caregiver for a few hours, sexting during the day, a “fun” outfit or lounge set

3- go slow and communicate what feels good or doesn’t

4- use the lube!! favs below

5- keep in mind things are sensitive and different down there post baby - can seem like a lot of pressure and/or feel extra “tight.”

6- slow and steady wins the race! If it’s too much and doesn’t feel good or comfortable- say so! Keep in mind your body went through a lot and needed to heal so communicate and don’t put excess pressure on yourself!
